Twenty-seven years from the first time I saw him, I took the opportunity to catch this show at the intimate (900 seat) Plaze Live theater. Now in his mid-sixties and fully grey, Joe Jackson can still put on a great show. His command of the keyboard is as masterful as ever, and his ability to stir emotions with his wonderful storytelling remains tenacious. It seems he avoids some of the higher ranges these days, and there was a bit more backup singing than I recall, but in no way did this detract from the awesomeness of this show. Pick up Joe's latest release, Fast Forward, and go see him live any chance you get.
