Two things are immediately apparent about Colt Ford when you see him live. The first is his love for his country. It's front and center in many of his song's lyrics and he has a flag attached to his mic stand that he references and displays at various times throughout his shows. He's an advocate and supporter of veterans, particularly those returning with PTSD. He's donated the proceeds from his song "Workin' On" to Marcus Luttrell's (Lone Survivor) foundation to help impacted veterans. The second thing you will notice is his humility. He is extremely grateful to his fans and freely admits he would be nothing without them. His ability to blend multiple genres into something uniquely his own is what I like most about him. If you had to put it in a bucket, it would definitely be country, but there is much more going on than that.
