Putting this one out there simply because it is one of my favorite shows of the era. I've said this somewhere before, but it's worth repeating; Wussy seems to love Cleveland. My favorite place to see them is the Beachland Tavern. Never mind there's a blizzard and 15 inches of snow on the ground. Always seems to work out.

Go get some Wussy. I'll make it easy, go to their Bandcamp page HERE and download to your heart's content. Go see them live if you're lucky enough to live in a city/town they visit. Turn your kids on to Wussy and they'll have
something to thank you for in later years. Get it?

The hundred or so folks that attended this show got a real treat! Six of the fifteen songs were new, presumably from the upcoming new release which they just finished up. Two of the new songs,  "Rainbows and Butterflies" and "Beautiful"
will become instant Wussy
classics. Don't get me wrong, the four remaining new songs were stellar as well, which heightens my anticipation of the new  release.

Some of the older songs seem to have a new feel to them as well. Particularly, "Yellow Cotton Dress" was delivered with an "expensive affects" makeover complete with a Harry Nilsson "Coconut" intro. Old standbys "Airborne" and "Rigor Mortis" rocked with their usual abandoned.

The band seemed to be having fun. I think the Beachland is a favorite spot of theirs. Mark put on his best game show host face revealing and handing out rock cards (similar to baseball cards) that he picked up before the show. It was a bit odd to see John stand up from the pedal steel and play guitar on at least one track.

I take full advantage of seeing Wussy live any chance I get. Each is a unique and special experience for me. I'm certainly glad I made the trip from Columbus for this one!

I certainly wish I could credit the fine folks that created the snazzy artwork. Ignore the gal having a conversation with my recorder during the first two minutes. No snow storm this year (for the first time in three years), but the roads were missing as the city is
revitalizing the Waterloo Arts District. Enough rambling, enjoy the content!

Special thanks to Terry Eaton
for these cool video of Happiness
Bleeds and Teenage Wasteland.
